Biography

An Engineer by profession with over 15 years of accumulated work experience after graduation from university. He has engaged in various capacities in the Private Sector in supervisory, managerial roles and also in Governmental Agency designations both technical and governing boards at the Federal Level. An entrepreneur, he is a majority shareholder and executive director in companies associated with Agro-business, Manufacturing, Finance, Mining and Construction.
A confident individual who is not broken by workload or difficult tasks, can comfortably work as part of a team or by himself; has excellent communication skills, fluent in English / Hausa Languages and computer literate. A member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a title holder of ‘Dujima’ in his hometown, the prestigious town of Keffi in Nasarawa State.

NITR is an institute under the ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation which is mandated with the research in Trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness) in both human and animals. It also strives in the development of medicine and vaccines to mitigate the sickness. With its headquarters in Kaduna State and project offices in all 6 geopolitical zones of the country, it has presence across the country which eases its activities as the disease is prevalent all over the country.
The chairman is the head of the board which in turn is the reporting authority between the ministry and the institute.
The board, guided by the Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations, Public procurement Act, Fiscal Responsibility Act and other instruments of public service governance drives the general policy formulation for the effective implementation of the management team of the institute.

The board is not involved in the day-to-day running of the Institute but rather only as a
policy making body.
Electronics Development Institute (ELDI)

ELDI is a technical institute under the umbrella of the National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) which is under the Presidency. As the name suggests, ELDI is mandated to engage in electronics development in Nigeria with the aim of improving innovation, production and commercialization of products and in turn, the country’s GDP.
The board is saddled with the responsibility of policy making for the institute and also is the link between NASENI and the institute.
Currently heading the technical team designing a smart LPG cylinder gauge system that sends various signals to users to intimate critical gas content levels and also mitigate fire hazards by automatically shutting off the valves when leakages are sensed.

Oilchem is a joint venture company between a private company (IPR Ltd) and the Federal Government (represented by Nigerian Mining Corporation – NMC) with a share ration of 60:40 respectively. The company engages in the processing of Solid Minerals especially Barite, which is used in the Oil & Gas Industry as a drilling agent. The NMC is saddled with the responsibility of Mining or extracting the crude from the pits, while IPR takes care of the crushing, milling and bagging of the crude into finished produce.
