Dr. Samuel W. Jimba

Born 10.10.1961 in Nasarawa State, he holds a Ph.D degree in Library and Information Sciencefrom the University of Ibadan. He started his professional working career with the Nasarawa State College of Education, Akwanga where he rose to become the College Librarian. In 1999, he was invited to join the Civil service of Nasarawa State. During this period, he held various responsibilities including being the State Webmaster, Director of Communications; Senior Special Assistant of Communications and finally as Permanent Secretary and posted to the Ministry of Information.

In 2012, he was appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Poland. On return from this National assignment, he took up appointment as a senior lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science, Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

He was appointed as University Librarian of Phoenix University on 1st October, 2023.

He is married to Mavis Jimba and they have two children.
