She joined the services of the Nasarawa State University Keffi in 2002 as an Assistant Lecturer
as one of the pioneer staff of Islamic Studies. Between the years 2002–2017, she rose steadily
through the ranks from Assistant Lecturer to becoming a Professor of Islamic Studies at the
Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Under community service, Prof. Sa’adatu served in the following capacities:
In pursuit of her academic career, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman has internally and
externally examined and supervised and graduated many postgraduate students and has
assessed many Scholars for promotion to Professorial cadre. She has over 50 publications
ranging from Textbooks, with articles in well reputable Journals and many chapters in books.
In fact, she is well published both national and internationally and her area of interest is in
Islamic Jurisprudence (Women’s Rights specifically).
She has attended conferences and workshops and served as a resource person both within and
outside Nigeria. She also served in more than 60 committees and is still serving in many more
with many Letters of commendation. She has assessed many lecturers for promotion to the
professorial cadre.
She got married in 1989 to Hassan Muhammad Liman SAN, PhD, FCIArb, MON., the first
Senior Advocate of Nigeria from Nasarawa State and Alhamdulillah, the marriage has since
been blessed with children and grandchildren.
